Pipeline Health Chief Executive Officer Robert Allen announced today that Mark R. Bell, M.D., and Nick Orzano have been re-appointed Co-Presidents of Pipeline, reporting to him. They will assist with a variety of initiatives to help further stabilize and grow the company.
Orzano and Bell founded Avanti Hospitals in 2008 beginning with the four Los Angeles-area facilities. Avanti later became Pipeline in 2019 with the acquisition of White Rock Medical Center.
In an April 11 announcement to Pipeline employees and physicians, Allen wrote, “Earlier this year, I had several discussions with members of the board regarding how best to utilize the founders’ expertise as we forge our future, and Mark and Nick were enthusiastic about re-joining our executive team. Among their strategic activities, they will assist us with growth strategies for the organization.”
Bell is an emergency medicine physician, well known among numerous hospitals and physician groups in the healthcare community. Orzano has a wealth of experience in real estate, private equity, investment banking, and financial management.
“Pipeline is incredibly personal and important for Mark and me,” Orzano commented. “Having founded the company 14 years ago, we are excited to help the hospitals through the next phase of their evolution. Each of the facilities is key to their respective communities, and we’re honored to be part of their journey.
