Dexter Degoma has joined Pipeline Health in the new role of Corporate Senior Director of Quality Improvement and Risk Management, effective Jan. 22.

Degoma is responsible for leading Pipeline’s efforts to improve the quality and safety of patient care. Responsibilities include: developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives; managing risk; and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

He reports to Pipeline Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vincent Green, leading the team of quality improvement and risk management professionals assigned to the four hospitals.

Degoma comes to Pipeline from Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA, where he served as executive director of quality and medical staff administration. He has more than 17 years’ experience in healthcare roles at various California hospitals and as an independent healthcare consultant.

“Among his career accomplishments, Dexter has developed and implemented a culture of ownership for quality, compliance, risk mitigation and safety throughout several organizations,” said Dr. Green. “In that work he has led and aligned each organization around quality initiatives to reduce variation in care and establish a quality platform for the entire organization.”
